The executive committee of United World Wrestling agreed on Monday to cancel the U-23 World Wrestling Championship scheduled for late October in Tampere, Finland.
Given the restrictions to train, or travel and carry out a competition free of health hazards, they have decided to cancel it for public health reasons.
The executive committee also agreed to keep the international tournaments scheduled in the calendar for November and December, but the organizers must implement very demanding sanitary protocols that protect the health of all participants in the competitions. The protocols provided by UWW will be subject to revision to improve said action protocols.
No decision was made on the senior and junior World Championships scheduled for Belgrade in mid-December.
Therefore we will continue to report on these competitions in which Spanish and Spanish athletes participate.
